About Us

I grew up around guns. Early memories include dead geese in the sink and skinned elk hanging from the rafters of our garage. It took me over 50 years to embrace my gun loving heritage. I never disliked – or was against guns. I was just too busy- raising a family, chasing a career, and felt “protected” by my American dream bubble.

Then came 2020. Reality hit. I bought a gun – was scared of the gun – learned to shoot the gun – and now love my guns. Yes plural. Gunssss.

I don’t fit the stereotype. Some (my husband) say I’m obsessed – but I’m not a nut, really. I am now vocally pro 2A, but fit firearms into the rest of my life. I am a mom, a wife, an executive – and believe it or not a quilter.  I started Girls with A Gun because I know you are out there too - a new (not necessarily young!) generation of women who own guns and have your story to tell.
